    • Growth Rate: Slow

    • Fall Color: Golden-yellow to orange yellow

    • Mature Height: Typically, 60-80 feet but can reach 100 feet.

    • Mature Spread: 25-50% of its height.

    • This variety is pollen sterile, so you must plant at least two different chestnut cultivars for cross-pollination to achieve good nut production. 

    • Nuts ripen Mid-late September.

    • Very large, sweet, smooth-textured, and easy to peel.

    • High yields, with estimates of 50+ lbs of nuts per tree at maturity.

    • Hybrid’s are not self-pollinating, so plant at least three different cultivars for successful cross-pollination and a good mast (nut) yield. 

    • Harvest in late-September through early-November.

    • A mature tree can produce 50 to 100 pounds of nuts. 

    • Flavor is sweet, buttery, and nut.
